After a two-hour long, energetic day in the sun yesterday at a 800-strong pro-Israel/anti-HAMAS rally nearby the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach, Florida, which failed to bring out an anticipated pro-HAMAS presence, approximately 150 stalwart Jewish and Christian supporters of Israel then took on the 200-strong crowd of pro-“palestine”/pro-HAMAS supporters rallying across from the Israeli Consulate.

It became evident that the robust show of support for Israel and the zealous stance against HAMAS along the west side of the boulevard at the northbound section of Biscayne Boulevard was agitating the pLO supporters, who were rallying on the east side. During the five-hour lively face-off, several pLO ralliers, bullhorns in hand, led the group in the typical Arabic chant to liberate “palestine” with their blood. Children joined in on the adrenalized incantation. Several among the pro-pLO crowd had their faces fully covered with the traditional HAMAS headdress. There were several unfounded boasts of HAMAS’ great performance against the Israeli Defense Forces’ “Cast Lead” military operation in Gaza, and a staged media-capturing event featuring several small children lying along the curbside under the bogus flag of “palestine.” One group of Muslim youth was directing highly animated menacing gestures with read-my-lips style threats to “f--k up” the group of pro-Israel supporters. They also promised that HAMAS would do the same to the IDF.

Outnumbered and without the advantage of bullhorns, the collective voice of the pro-Israel camp still tingled the ears of the mainly Muslim crowd. “There is no ‘palestine,’ ” “I - D - F,” and “Terrorists across the street,” were some of the chants belted out by these ralliers.

It was noteworthy that while the police were diligent in keeping the pro-Israel ralliers at bay along the curb and away from the gutter and road, they were lacking the same degree of diligence when it concerned the pro-Muslim ralliers. A few pro-Israel ralliers, indeed, ventured off the curb and onto the roadside from time to time; yet only when the envelope was pushed well past the limits within the Muslim camp did the police get involved in forcing those ralliers to comply with the rules. Part and parcel to the sporadic police efforts to keep Muslims in line, several Muslims were also patrolling alongside the narrow street gutter, including an elder dressed in a turban and Taliban-style garb. Apparently, there was an understanding between the Miami Police Department and the leaders of the Muslim community that enabled Muslim authorities to rule over the pLO crowd without police interference unless there were blatant violations.

An increasing number of Muslims from the pro-pLO group were hurling full bottles of water at the pro-Israel group, apparently due to the lack of stones in the area. Some from the pro-Israel camp responded in kind due to the lackluster police response to the aggression.

Several Muslims charged across the street at the pro-Israel group. The first Muslim to charge was outraged that one of the pro-Israel ralliers was stomping on a bogus flag of “palestine.” Shortly afterward, another charged forward, going for a banner that was temporarily unmanned in anticipation of a rumble. The 3’ x 9’ Maccabean Resistance double-sided banner carried the messages: “No pLO terrorist state in the Jewish Biblical Heartland!” and “STOP the Islamic Conquest of the Promised Land!” The Muslim perpetrator, momentarily running off with the prized banner toward his widely cheering crowd of supporters, was pursued by this writer, who was promptly restrained by a police officer. Undeterred, this writer shouted to a group of officers and pointed to the thief who made off with the stolen banner. Three police stopped the man in the middle of the boulevard, crinkled banner in hand, before he could run back to his group. This energized the crowd of pro-Israel supporters. Other Muslims then attempted to charge at the pro-Israel ralliers, but the police, who had called in reinforcements, stopped them.

There was vigorous support from drivers for both sides of the boulevard: some honking in support of Israel, others in support of the pLO. Many of the Muslim motorists drove along the pro-Israel side of the boulevard specifically to make threatening gestures, such as pulling an imaginary trigger on a gun. One elderly man, accompanied by an orthodox Muslim woman, drove up to the pro-Israel group, rolled his window down, pulled out his HAMAS headdress and wrapped it around his face in front of the ralliers. Another motorist hoisted up a child with a bogus flag of “palestine” through the sunroof of his vehicle. The child’s face was fully wrapped in HAMAS headdress. The largely Muslim crowd was surprised when Builders of Zion Executive Director Ed Warmoth left his post at the rally and drove his vehicle to the Muslim side of the boulevard to sport his large Israeli flag, which was poking up through the sunroof. Six pLO ralliers, apparently outraged that a pro-Israel supporter would venture to their side of the road, converged upon his vehicle and banged on his windows. Also notable was the Chabad House bus, whose driver frequented the boulevard, honking the horn to the rhythm of the pro-Israel chants. His passengers were holding a large Israeli flag, which was hanging outside the buses’ windows. The Chabad’s prominent vehicular presence provided great motivational support for the tired but determined group.

As the highly charged daytime event grinded on, the pro-Israel supporters thinned out at around 3:30 p.m. to about 60 people. During the course of the event, the ranks of the pLO supporters had grown to approximately 300. By about 4:30 p.m., the pLO-supporters dwindled to about 120.

The remaining pro-Israel supporters dispersed only when the police had significantly cleared out the pro-pLO supporters as evening was setting in and an officer on the west side of the boulevard said it was time to go home. As the pro-pLO protestors -- one wiping the roadway with a ripped remnant of an Israeli flag -- were crossing the boulevard in a not-so-peaceful manner to exit the rally, five Muslims, frustrated by their inability to break through the police barrier protecting the pro-Israel ralliers, then took their anger out on the pro-Israel supporters’ vehicles. The group converged by foot upon one of the pro-Israel supporters, who was leaving the rally in his pickup truck to return to Ft Lauderdale. The Muslims destroyed his passenger-side mirror as the man narrowly escaped the danger. The group continued to the parking lot where most of the pro-Israel ralliers had parked their vehicles, and they kicked the doors to some of the pro-Israel supporters’ cars. After hearing reports of the incident from a couple of ralliers, Ed Warmoth ran toward the scene. Witnessing one of the attacks only 30 feet away, Warmoth immediately reported the incident to a group of 10 police officers just 100 feet away from the outbreak. The officers responded by instructing the group of Muslims to leave; yet there was no follow up to identify the perpetrators of the mischief, with the exception of a lone police officer, Officer Villafana, who worked with the Ft. Lauderdale man to file a formal police report regarding his broken mirror.

The rally ended at approximately 5:15 p.m., with the Miami Herald reporting the arrest of a dozen protestors. One of the protestors was from the pro-Israel camp.

For information on upcoming rallies contact the Maccabean Resistance.
January 20, 2009, during the presidential inauguration media reports are forecasting any where up to four million people on the National Mall. The crowd will be stretching between Capitol Hill, where the swearing-in ceremony will be held, along the parade route the newly sworn president will take to the White House and end at LaFayette Park where dignitaries will watch the inaugural parade.

The Maccabean Resistance will rally in support of The Faithful Homesteaders of Israel. This will be an excellent opportunity to voice opposition to the failed and continuing policies of the United States forcing the government of Israel to divide G-d’s Land, then handing those precious hilltops over to terrorist thugs.

The President Elect has been moving behind the scenes formulating his Middle East policy. Early 2008 Robert Malley, a policy advisor to Barak Obama’s campaign was admittedly meeting with Hamas representatives. After the news of Malley’s meetings was released Mr. Obama was reported to have said “Rob Malley has, like hundreds of other experts, provided informal advice to the campaign in the past. He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future.”. November 5, 2008, one day after becoming the President Elect, Obama dispatched Malley to Egypt and Syria to formulate the new administration’s policy for the Middle East. It seems that Mr. Malley will be part of the news for some time to come. To the best of my knowledge, Israel was not one of Malley’s destinations on his policy making tour.

The Maccabean Resistance cannot afford to wait for the new president to prove his intentions, we must begin to speak out against the “two-state solution” and all other attempts to allow Islamic Revolutionaries to take over Israel’s land. Join with us, help us to oppose the anti-Jewish policies of the world leaders that will attend this event in Washington D.C..

Contact Ed Warmoth with Builders of Zion for meeting times and location for the rally on January 20, 2009. The crowds will be tremendous and the regulations for where and when you can gather in the area require early deployment. Ed can be reached here.

For all who are able, we need your donations, each local rally costs hundreds of dollars. The D.C. rally is going to cost a few thousand, please donate today.

MACCABEAN RESISTANCE RALLY

“Thus Says the L-rd of Hosts, ‘They shall build, but I will Throw Down; and they shall be called, ‘The border of wickedness,’ and ‘The people against whom the
L-rd has Indignation for ever. ’ “ (Mal’Akhi/Malachi 1:4)

At a day in time where many a blind guide is putting darkness for light and light for darkness in the name of peace and security, we who carry the Burden of the L-rd within our hearts must sharpen our focus as the Festival of Lights draws near this Holiday Season. In the spirit of the Maccabees, who overcame pagan occupation within the Promised Land, 165 B.C.E., and under the banner of a non-proselytizing solidarity movement called the Maccabean Resistance, we call on Jewish and Christian groups in America and throughout the world to rally within their respective capitals and local communities during the eight days of Chanukkah.

The Maccabean Resistance will hold a rally in Washington D.C. on December 21st, the eve of Chanukkah:

✡ To denounce a “two-state solution” for Israel

✡ To warn of further Divine Judgment against our country if its leaders do not relent from calls to
divide even one more grain of Promised Land sand

✡ To proclaim opposition to our foreign policy of pushing Israel to capitulate to the “palestinian”
Authority: the whitewashed pLO terrorist organization that still promotes the pLO Covenant’s
stated agenda to destroy the Jewish State

✡ To speak out against attempts by our Administration to stifle Jewish growth in the Jewish
Homeland

✡ To support Israel’s Divine Right to settle all of Her Biblical Inheritance

✡ To express our unwavering solidarity with the owner and residents of Beit HaShalom (the Peace
House) in Hebron, the City where our Biblical Patriarchs and Matriarchs rest

✡ To counter the campaign of demonization against the Hilltop Youth and Jewish Homesteaders for
their resistance efforts against yet another “palestinian” ploy to steal legally redeemed Jewish
Land

✡ To speak out against the Islamic revolutionary agenda that threatens Israel and our entire global
village

Bible Believers who call upon the Name of the L-rd of Hosts, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, must work together to create a unified bloc that will be a force to reckon with during these days of tribulation. The prophetic events related to the rebirth of Israel place the tiny Jewish Nation in the cross hairs of the principalities of darkness that have been unleashed on the earth today. The advent of the modern-day Islamic Revolution with its signature form of expression –- terrorism -- is causing worldwide upheaval. Nowhere is Islam more virulent than in Israel. The Arab-Muslim bloc has been waging an Islamic war by proxy on G-d’s Land through the so-called “palestinian” people, who are, in reality, Sunnis from the surrounding nations. Rallying together, we will raise awareness among our political leaders and citizens regarding the threat that the Islamic Revolution presents, first and foremost to Israel, then to the rest of civilized society.

By banding together, we can express our solidarity and support for those Jewish Homesteaders who are standing in faith on the hills of Judea and Samaria, the Biblical Heartland of Israel. Under the current leadership of hard-line leftists, there are plans to abandon yet even more numerous thriving Jewish communities that serve as a first line of defense for hundreds of thousands of Jewish residents throughout the Land of Israel. Should a two-state “solution” be realized, most Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria would be uprooted and displaced, just as had happened with the Gush Katif communities, where some 8000 Jewish residents were torn from their homes in August of 2005 and to this day many remain displaced. Jerusalem would be ripped in half and most of Biblical Israel would be plunged back into the dark ages of Arab rule and destruction. If this retreat from Jewish soil were to take place, Israel would be dissected into two sections of indefensible land and the Jewish soul of the country would be decimated. We can, and must, resist the removal of Jewish homesteads from any part of the Land of Israel.

In the footsteps of the Maccabees, therefore, we servants of the G-d of Israel are duty bound to take up our positions in the struggle against the dark forces that are waging a jihad for religious domination over G-d’s Land and His Elect. We must put our faith into action by holding our leaders to G-dly accountability. While G-d is Redeeming His Land and Re-gathering the Remnant of Jacob in accordance with Ancient Prophecies, the nations can participate in this Divine Process, and thus bring Blessing upon their lands, or they can attempt to hinder His mighty Hand and be Wiped Away with the dust of Time.

The Maccabean Resistance rally will take place in front of the White house from noon to three o’clock, December 21, 2008/Kislev 21, 5769 at LaFayette Square, on the north side of the White House.

If you are not able to rally with us in D.C., we urge you to take time from your holiday preparations to make your voice heard within your local communities. You can hold a rally at your representative's office or at a city square. Those who are unable to get out can make phone calls and write letters to their respective leaders. Maccabean Resistance literature, including talking points and informational handouts, can be obtained by contacting us at noretreat@maccabeanresistance.org. We have designed posters that will get noticed and literature that will educate, all of which can be printed from pdf files that are available via the Resistance Gear page. T-shirts and hats bearing the Maccabean Resistance emblems are also available. Contact us and we will make sure you are equipped.

Let your voice be heard at the city gates on behalf of righteousness. At this critical time, we cannot be silent on the issue of Israel being divided.

"If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I do not set Yerushalayim above my highest joy.” Tehillim/Psalms 137:6

Ron Paul’s supporters were informed of the regulation to remain behind the fence, but, frequently violated this requirement by parading up and down the sidewalk along the main road through the campus. Campus Police did nothing to stop this. The University effectively squelched the freedom of speach of the “law abiding” demonstrators.

Later in the evening Sandra did manage to provide a few interviews to the media.

Send in photos or video of your rallies so we may post them.
